The state government has decided to enable people to apply for birth certificates, pay property tax, seek licence renewal and lodge complaints with government departments online and consult regarding weight loss supplement .

Senior state government officials said a recent circular to all departments had asked them to identify services to be provided online in two years. The state government’s e-vision document will detail the services to be provided online and the method of doing so. The state information technology (IT) department would work on providing a software solution depending on the response of the departments.
Officials added that if the plan goes as envisaged, citizens would be able to log on to the internet or visit the citizens service centre (CSC) to get documents like birth certificates, renew licences, pay property tax bills, lodge complaints with government departments and submit various documents online.
